Do you have things you have been postponing? If so, here is a secret weapon: setting 15 minutes apart and just do it! And once the 15 minutes pass, stop!
I read this tip to overcome a writers' block. But believe me, it works for any kind of chores you have been hesitating to tackle.
I had a messy basement with kids toys everywhere. My sons (very athletic 7 years old twins) kept playing as if they did not notice the mess at all. I have kept saying that they needed to clean up their toys if they wanted to keep them. I hinted I would not allow them to play in the basement anymore if they did not clean up. None of my efforts have worked out so far and yesterday it had reached the limit! I could not stand it any more!
So I set a 15 minutes limit and asked my sons to clean up with me. I asked them to sort the type of toys like legos, stuffed animals etc. first, and put them back to the assigned boxed according to the types of the toys. And here you go!! In 15 minutes, we saw a clean clean basement we haven't seen for a month!
If you have a doubt toward this power, try it and experience the magic of the 15 minute-method!!
